Beginning in July 2007, the US Small Business Administration launched a new program to serve veterans and our military community looking to establish or expand their business. BankFIRST is proud to be one of the first banks in Florida to offer this exciting new product.
BankFIRST provides veterans with the following benefits:
- Active-duty service members eligible for the military’s Transition Assistance Program
- Reservists and National Guard members
- Current spouses of any of the above
- The widowed spouse of a service member or veteran who died during service or of a service connected disability
Patriot Express loan funds can be used for most business purposes, including start-up, expansion, equipment purchases, working capital, inventory or business-occupied real estate purchases.
Loans (including revolving lines of credit) are available up to $500,000 and are processed in a streamlined fashion with the SBA, resulting in faster closings.
In addition, BankFIRST is the only bank in Florida to provide veterans with the following:
- Free loan packaging - a savings up to $2,500
- Loan terms that include 90% real estate financing and terms up to 25 years with no balloons
